Hopefully, this is a simple question to answer. Why is it that some video posts when uploaded fail to generate thumbnails in the media galleries? I am in the Telligent Community 6 environment.
What conditions must be met for the transcoder to successfully scrape a screen shot to display for the video's preview?

Can you please be more specific on which videos failed to generated thumbnails in the media galleries? What version of Telligent Community 6 do you have?
That's just it, I don't really see any pattern that determines whether or not a video post shows the thumbnail. The version of Telligent is version 6.1.3.27318
Without the video transcoder extension for Evolution or other custom file viewer, only YouTube videos will have previews.
With the video transcoder, any video file uploaded supported by the video transcoder should have a thumbnail.
Thanks Ben! Could the transcoder possibly be affected if another third party video player such as videojs was being used in the web site?
It could. I'm not familiar with videojs.
