Hi, we are upgrading from 6.1 to 7.6, and one of our custom stored procs was calling the dbo.cs_Search_ReindexByNodeId procedure. However, this stored proc seems to have been deleted in 7.6. I am wondering what would be equivalent logic to doing something like this in 6.1.
exec dbo.cs_Search_ReindexByNodeId @NodeId=@NodeId
Why are you needing to call this procedure?
I think Telligent Services, in the 5.6 customization project, had created a custom stored proc for us to grant permissions at time of creating a new group. One of the steps towards the end was to make this call I am referring to.... the stored proc looks like this towards the end:
exec dbo.cs_Security_NodePermission_Add @NodeId=@NodeId,@RoleId=@RoleId,@PermissionId=N'Group_ModifyGroup',@IsAllowed=0 exec dbo.cs_Security_NodePermission_Add @NodeId=@NodeId,@RoleId=@RoleId,@PermissionId=N'MediaGallery_OverrideValidation',@IsAllowed=0
exec dbo.cs_Security_EffectivePermissions_Calculate @NodeId=@NodeId
-- This probably needs to be replaced with something equivalent for 7.6 since this stored proc has now been deleted. -- exec dbo.cs_Search_ReindexByNodeId @NodeId=@NodeId
exec dbo.cs_Security_Roles_GetByGroup @GroupId=@GroupId
That's why I am trying to figure out how to replace that call.
I would work on getting rid if this sproc all together, executing these statements isn't a supported customization and will not be compatible with future versions..
So if I understand you correctly, there is no need to do the Reindexing that was done before, and hence I can just remove that call? I was looking at other similar 7.6 stored procs that might do what the above stored proc does, but the schema has change quite a bit. So didn't want to risk inventing something myself.
