I'm running into an error with OAuth sign-on sequence using the Implicit Grant Type. I'm able to log in but rather than navigating to the Allow/Deny Client page, I'm met with a page letting me know that I do not have permission to download file. Prior to receiving this message, I was greeted with "response type is required for requests to this page". Any ideas as to what could be causing this would be greatly appreciated.
Hi Richard. Can you share a little more about your setup? What client type are you using? What steps are being taken? Can you share a sample of HTTP requests/responses being used?
I'm using a public client type and using WinRT's WebAuthenticationBroker as the OAuth client. The request URL being used is:
Just to confirm, you're using OAuth to sign in to Evolution, and not as an identity provider for another system? I only ask because I'm not familiar with that particular error message.
It probably goes without mentioning, but the redirect_url in the query string should be an encoded value instead of quote-surrounded and it should match the redirect URL defined in the OAuth configuration.
I am using OAuth to sign into Evolution. I've verified that the redirect_url is encoded without quotes and does match the redirect URL defined in the OAuth configuration. The message I am getting consistently now is "A response type is required when making a request to this page".
Thanks. Any more detail would be really helpful. Would it be possible to share a Fiddler trace including the client's and remote hosts's requests to Evolution?
