Say we wanted to store a User's "specialties" as "Architecture, Design, Drawing". Then if we want to search for all users who have the specialty "Drawing", how do we do that?
The GroupQueryBuilder and JoinStrategy classes used to be nice to filter Groups based on custom values stored in external tables, but for Users there is no such equivalent. What is the alternative?
I believe you can add it in the control panel as a profile field and make it searchable.
You should then be able to construct a solr query that searches based on that profile field. The field to search on will be "profile_*" where the "*" is the name of your new profile field.
In order to surface this new field to the user and let them populate it, you will need to add it to a profile field group (that is already configured on the edit profile page) via control panel.
I would attempt to use the Multi-Select option.
