We'd like to send a better email to our moderators when a post is made to a forum that requires moderation. Our template isn't picking up the subject and text of the post that needs moderation. Is it possible to include that information?
Can you provide your platform version,. please? If you haven't done so already, please review Email Templates documentation here
We are using 7.1
I’ve seen the email templates documentation but it doesn’t seem to address the question I am having. We want to put the actual text of the subject and body of the posting that needs to be reviewed.
When our template renders, the variables aren’t translated to the actual values so it looks like those values aren’t available in this context.
We are using these:
$core_v2_forumThread.Current or $core_v2_forumReply.Current
Might help to know that $post is either the forumThread.Current or forumReply.Current
That’s by design. The email is designed to say the forum needs moderation. Not xyz thread/reply needs moderation. There isn’t a forum thread or reply in the “Current” of that email.
It would be great if at some point in the future we could give additional information to the moderator via email. Our moderators have also asked if we could give them the ability to approve posts via email which would also necessitate being able to show the individual post information.
Got a couple of thumbs up here for both of those suggestions.
Thank you for your feedback, I will run it by our PM team.
