Email templates are basic email forms that use extensions (similar to tokens) to customize the look and content of emails.
The email template files are located in two places: the Web/Languages/en-us/emails folder and the Job Scheduler/Languages/en-us/emails folder. Note that if you make a change to a template, you need to change it in both locations.

Email templates use many of the same extensions that are used by Widget Studio widgets, however, some extensions are unique to email templates. You can view the online extension documentation by clicking the API Documentation link (Control Panel > Site Administration > Setup > Email Settings).
