Hi all,
We are in the middle of deploying 5.5.
One of the shortcomings of this product is the reputation and rewards feature. I realize we could customize to provide some of the things that we need, but I'd much rather Telligent take a serious look at this feature and make an effort to make improvements. Several competetive products such as Jive, Mzinga, and Lithium have fully baked reputation systems that are a LOT more powerful than 5.5 is, out of the box. Telligent should do the same.

I hope these suggestions are clear enough for everyone. Please ask for clarification if you're wondering what the heck I'm talking about in any of these use cases above.
I agree. I am currently having to develop this functionality since it is not built-in.
I really like your suggestion, hope Telligent are listening :)
The points system without a doubt needs some serious work, thank you dswager for the post! Glad I'm not the only one who feels the same.
Hi There,
It may be a little late for you, but I do have some good news about the badge situation in Telligent Community. Although powerful, as you have pointed out there are some scenarios that the current point system in Telligent Community do not cover. Being a proud Telligent Partner, we are always looking for ways to extend the platform by developing add-ons that fulifll scenarios not covered by the box installation. To fulfill the need of communities looking provide a more complex set of rules that result in badges, Couto Solutions is happy to announce one of newest products, "Bragger Badges"
Bragger Badges is so new, we have not yet developed our marketing materials or documentation for it yet. Consequently, you will not find it on our website. The good news is that it is available right now and we can demo it and sell it to you if you are interested.
All of the above rules come out of the box.
The really cool thing about bragger badges is that is allow you to create a badge and when doing so you can add any number of rules or rule combinations to it. For example, you could create a badge that required that a user post 15 times, rate 5 posts, has 25 friends, and answered 3 questions. The complexity of your rules are really up-to-you.
With Bragger Badges, we give you the power to build your own rule sets. By working with our API and drive from a couple of our interfaces, you can create complex rules of your own.

I hope this fills your need,
I just wanted to follow up on this post to let you know that our company now offers Bragger Badges which has been greatly enhanced since I posted these screenshots. This add-on now allows you to create badges based on all sorts of complex community metrics. In addition to badges, it provides a Leaderboard, profile widgets, it ranks users on most badges earned, most points earned, and overall achievement. We have FREE Trials for all of our community add-ons. We also provide screenshots of the badges application so you can get an idea on how it works and what it looks like in the default figi theme. All of our add-on can be themed exactly the same way you theme Telligent Community.
Justin, Have you updated this for the latest Telligent Community 6.0 release? Thx, Jim
