Senior Sales Engineer
We are looking for a highly motivated and energetic candidate to join the European team as Senior Sales Engineer. This role will report to the Worldwide Sales Engineering Leader. Responsibilities will include:
Technical Pre-Sales Support and Product Management collaboration including: • Present Zimbra and Telligent vision, strategy and product roadmaps to executives and technical management • Drive the adoption of Zimbra and Telligent solutions within strategic accounts moving current installations from departmental to enterprise • Provide expert technical pre-sales support for messaging application opportunities involving Zimbra Collaboration Server and Telligent Community Software Products.
• Support Pre-sales opportunities proof of concept opportunities with technical hands-on assistance. • Maintain deep technical and business knowledge of messaging applications industry directions and trends • Maintain working knowledge of competitor products and how to technically sell against them • Work collaboratively with Sales Reps, Product Management, Technical Marketing and Engineering during the development, launch and continuing refinement of Zimbra and Telligent products • Maintain, grow and leverage technical pre-sales relationships with key Zimbra and Telligent Partner Field Organizations • Lead the technical pre-sales community discussions and facilitate knowledge dissemination to the Zimbra and Partner Subject Matter Experts. • Evangelize the value of Zimbra products in messaging application architectures and deployments
• 8+ years of experience in technology related work, including Pre-sales Engineer or customer-facing Consultant working on large scale messaging application solutions and architectures • Ability to collaborate with and motivate multiple groups toward accomplishing a task • Experience in System Administration and Operations experience on Linux platforms. Should be prepared to perform hands-on duties for supporting customers during the trial and Proof of Concept phase • Ability to uncover business challenges and develop a custom solution to solve those challenges • Enthusiastic, self-starter with a charismatic personality. • Proven track record of selling services as part of a solution. Ability to see and present "the big picture" and offer solutions to make it better • Strong customer facing and relationship building skills • Must be effective in working both independently and in a team setting • Strong listening and question-based selling skills
