On Wednesday, February 24, I participated in a panel at Carnegie Mellon University to discuss social analytics and the impact of social technologies on personal identifiable information. The current challenge is not digitizing information, but finding relevant information. This is achieved through:

1) Listening
2) User Type Analysis
3) Engagement

In addition to me, the panel participants included:

  • Gene Connors, Partner at Reed Smith
  • Sean Ammirati, COO of ReadWriteWeb
  • Mike Smith, Associate Professor IT and Marketing, CMU
  • Tim Stanton, Sr. Account Executive at LinkedIn

Read more about what the panel discussed, and even watch a video.
