Email is a $4.9 billion market and represents nearly half of the more than $10 billion collaboration market. The combination of Zimbra and Telligent puts the company in a position to better capture a significant portion of this market share from traditional collaboration businesses. And, contrary to our competitors, Telligent has always remained steadfast in our belief that social isn’t a replacement for email – it’s a complement to email.

With software-as-a-service and rich capabilities through HTML5, there is an evolution happening in how people work – specifically, they are moving away from traditional desktop applications. With financial support of Intel Capital, NXT Capital Venture Finance, BDCA, Hall Financial Group and VMware, the acquisition and merger will accelerate the growth and leadership of the combined company. Led by an integrated management team, the combined company will have a global base of more than 5,000 customers and 400 partners, with offices in Dallas, Palo Alto, Tokyo, London and Pune, India.
