George Dearing, writer for InformationWeek's
Content Management Blog, talks with Rob Howard about the new Community
Server 2008 and its two-fold ability to prove a community's ROI and
support Microsoft Office SharePoint Server.
Mr. Dearing says, "The Harvest analytics work [Telligent's new
Web-based business intelligence tool] was the culmination of almost a
year's worth of development and is something that's already prompted
Microsoft and others to invest more heavily in Telligent's
infrastructure."
When commenting on the SharePoint integration, the blogger writes,
"And it's hard to argue against that [Telligent addressing enterprise
social computing by partnering with Microsoft]. With so many
deployments in place, there's certainly some untapped business for
toolset vendors to inject life in all those underperforming SharePoint
deployments."
