Procter & Gamble drove adoption of social networking tools by integrating them with existing with work processes. With more than 138,000 employees in 160-plus countries, the company needed a scalable, comprehensive tool to connect people and ideas. P&G's IT innovation group selected Telligent's community platform upon which to build PeopleConnect, a community application used by employees to interact through forums, blogs, and wikis.
"Until now, wikis, blogs, podcasts—they felt like the place for the techno-elite. This platform makes it easy for everyone to participate," said Michael Fulton, P&G's enterprise architecture capability manager.
