On January 12, 2010, Haiti was devastated by an earthquake. US Southern Command was charged with coordinating the Department of Defense response in support of the US Agency for International Development, involving the relief efforts of military, government, and non-government organizations. Built on Telligent Community, the All Partners Access Network (APAN) community was launched the next day - a full 10 months ahead of schedule.
