The Installation Guide walks you step-by-step through a quick installation or full installation of Telligent Analytics and also tells you how to upgrade from version 2.x. Upgrade from Telligent Analytics 2.x

We recommend performing a new installation of Telligent Analytics 3.0 but we do support upgrading a Harvest 2.x site to Telligent Analytics 3.0.

You should note the following before you begin your upgrade:

• Telligent Analytics 3.0 currently only supports reporting for Telligent Community 5 / Telligent Enterprise 2 Web sites. It does not support reporting for older Telligent Community Server sites. Keep your existing Harvest 2.x site in operation for reporting on older versions of Community Server.

• All reporting data will be lost as you upgrade, but it will be repopulated when the 3.0 tasks run.

• An upgrade is required to carry over user logins, roles, sentiment keywords, milestones, and other site-specific customizations to your Harvest 2.x application.

• Harvest 2.x sites that reference an older reports assembly are not compatible with Analytics 3.0. You will need to recreate these sites in the Analytics 3.0 Control Panel. It is also possible to upgrade existing sites using the TelligentAnalytics_Upgrade_Report_Site.sql script.
