To help ensure that you successfully install Telligent Analytics, we have broken down the installation process into steps:

  1. Ensure that your system meets the prerequisites for installing Telligent Analytics. Find out requirements for your operating systems, development framework, Web servers, and database servers.

  2. Install the Telligent Analytics Web application, which includes:

    • Setting up the files and permissions.

    • Setting up the Internet Information Services (IIS) Web site. If you are using Windows Server 2008, you should install IIS 7.0. We recommend that you use Windows Server 2008 for Telligent Analytics. If you are using Windows Server 2003, you should install IIS 6.0.

  3. Set up a SQL database so it is accessible by the Telligent Analytics application, then set up the Analytics tables and objects.  

  4. Install your Telligent Analytics license, which you must do from the Telligent Analytics Web Application's Control Panel.

  5. Create your report site. You must create a site within Telligent Analytics for each community on which you want to report.

  6. Install and configure the Extended Analytics module. 

  7. Install and configure the Telligent Analytics task engine. This task service is installed as a background Windows service and can be started and stopped from your Windows Services screen.
