On the Collaboration tab, in the Group Summary report there is a statistic for number of dead groups. That number represents the groups that have had no contributions in the last 30
days.
Contributions include:
- Blog Post
- Blog Post Comment
- Forum Post
- Media Gallery Post
- Media Gallery Post Comment
- Wiki Page creation
- Wiki Page revision
- Wiki Page comment
- Someone joins the group
