Community Server Developers Conference

Community Server Developers Conference

  • Cross posting from the Announcement blog: http://communityserver.org/blogs/announcements/archive/2007/07/27/CSDC.aspx

  • The first developer conference was a success! If you want to get a peek at what happened, be sure to check out Kevin's blog with his play-by-play. We also plan to have slides, demos, and videos from the CSDC available in the coming weeks.

If you had the opportunity to attend, how was it for you?

  • I thought the conference was very useful.   I came down with a cold the night before, so I didn't get to hang out and socialize much but it was still a good time.

I also blogged about the conference, and tried to highlight the areas that were of most interest to me and why. Take a look if you want.

I thought the event was was well organized, informative and worth the trip.  Telligent staff did a great job of showing instead of selling and that's what made it worth the trip for me.

    Thanks for being great hosts!

  • CSDC was very useful for us, we are back with more ideas and waiting for the new version. BTW, we are trying to create a separate project but it seems to be "tricky", it's not as easy. Are the videos / slides available for download? Thanks!

Are the videos / slides available for download? Thanks!

I looked in the shared files media gallery and didn't see anything there.  There were a couple of things I'd like to review as well if they are available.

  • Jose, any news of the Videos/Presentations from CSDC ? thanks! Martin
  • I checked internally and it sounds like we haven't finished all of them yet. The one(s) that are complete should be posted relatively soon.

When I know more, I'll post an update here.

  • The first video has been posted to the Telligent blog. This one is an overview of Chameleon by Ben and Wyatt.

    More should be coming soon...

  • Is the in.Telligent 2008 Conference replacing the CSDC this year?  If so, whats the major differences?

    Next Generation Shopping

  • Good afternoon, Marc.  Thanks for your interest in our In.Telligent 2008 conference. You're already ahead of the game!

To answer your Q, in.Telligent 2008 is not replacing CSDC, so to speak, but will instead add to what you may have experienced last year.

What you can expect out of this year's conference:

    • In.telligent discussions with your peers and Telligent experts
    • In.formation on social computing trends
    • In.sight on how to prove an online community's ROI
    • In.novative ideas on how to transform the way you work

There are additional conference enhancements, but those details are forthcoming. Not to worry, though . . . as a developer, you'll still get to take advantage of workshops, sessions, and forums on the top of .NET social software. Not to mention learning tips and tricks on how to extend Community Server from our team of experts. :)

Feel free to bookmark http://in.telligent.com/ and check back often for additional details. Registration is coming soon.

Hope to see you in October.
