Community Server 2.0, Service Pack 1 - ASP.NET 2.0

Telligent recently discovered a serious security vulnerability that can enable an attacker to obtain unauthorized security privileges in Community Server 2.0 for ASP.NET 2.0. It is highly recommended that you apply this patch immediately.

Directions for installing the patch:

  1. Download the .zip file
  2. Unzip the file(s) and extract them to a location on your computer
  3. Follow the directions in the readme for installing the patch on your Community Server 2.0 server(s)

Applying the update should take less than five minutes and result in no noticeable downtime. This patch is compiled under the .NET 2.0 Framework.

    H've heared that Community Server is vulnerable to the attacks by pingback , is this case resolved with this update ?
