Are there any restrictions when using a demo licence?

Are there any restrictions when using a demo licence?

  • Hi,

I've just managed to install CS2007 and its running on a demo licence at the moment and I've found thats theres a few things that I cant seem to do and I was wondering if these are bugs or somethings wrong with my install or there just restrictions due to the fact I'm running a demo licence. problems are -

    - I cant seem to upload mp3 files
    - New members cant sign up
    - I cant get mirrored blogs to post the full text although I've ticked the post full text box
    - I cant post comments on blogs (mirrored blogs)
    - I have to re-login every 5-10 minutes

I presume the fact that new members cant sign up is a retriction due to the demo licence but I wondered are the other problems for the same reason? and are there any other restrictions with a demo licence?

  • I'm not aware of any of these being issues with the demo license.

    Upload MP3 Files -- http://communityserver.org/forums/t/488521.aspx

New members can't sign up -- Are you using a Single Sign-on Module? Are you getting an error?

Mirrored blogs full text -- Is the source feed providing the full text?

Comments on mirrored blogs -- Most themes disable support for comments for mirrored blogs.  You can remove the

    <DisplayConditions Operator="Not"><CSBlog:WeblogPostPropertyValueComparison runat="server" ComparisonProperty="IsExternal" Operator="IsSetOrTrue" /></DisplayConditions>

from the blog theme's post.aspx page.  This will allow comments to be entered/shown for mirrored blog posts.

    Need to re-login every 5-10 minutes -- http://communityserver.org/forums/p/486642/577217.aspx#577217

  • Yes Thanks!

  • Hi,

I am having the same problem of the full text not showing up fro mirrored blogs.

I do have the "Post full text" option checked. And the source feed is also providing the full text.

What else could be the reason why I am not seeing the full text?  Any thoughts?
