The permissions should not be changed with the migration. The main change is that there are now group level permissions. What I would do is to try resaving your permissions. Perhaps reset them to default, which makes them the same as the group or product permissions. I would go into the control panel, restore defaults on this role for the forum that is giving you the issue and then change it to how you have it now.
