Is it true you need to store credentials in clear text to get shairpoint intergration to work?

This question is answered

Based on searching the forms and what we have seen during testing is it true to get sharepoint to work you need to store credentials in clear text?

If that is the case that is a serious problem for my company.  Talk about a security hole!!!

In the SharePoint Community Server Integration configuration page you will need to provide a username, password and domain for the user that will be able to access the Evo site.  In most cases this will be a domain service account for this role.

Please let me know if that fixes the problem.

Thanks,

  • The username/password is stored with a password field so that other users cannot see the password.

  • does the user roles transfered too, if the user is an administrator in SP server, then when he/she accessed teh CS server should it be administrator? because i have SP FBA server, when users accessed the CS server, it accessed and it displays the username in the welcome message, but it gives user the default CS permissions such as everyone and registered users?! is this correct or d o i miss something?1
