I've been comparing page view data for a while on individual posts between telligent analytics and SiteCatalyst which is also instrumented on the page.
I'm curious as to how these numbers are collected because there is a vast difference between the two numbers.
It hard to say where/why there are differences without knowing how SiteCatalyst does their web analytics. Telligent Analytics client side script to callback and log each request. There is then a process that scrubs out bot requests but other than than all other browser requests are counted for the most part.
At one time we had Google analytics, WebTrends and Telligent Analytics running at the same time - WT and GA were relatively close, but TA was several hundred thousand page views different (higher)... We never figured out why...
We're having the same issue with the Telligent analytics. If i drill down I see a much different number at times, or it only shows 2 of 6 of the posts that were done during the requested time frame. I'm hoping to find out why these numbers are so high compared to other analytics and why all the posts aren't listed with their views.
