Comment Moderation Screens - Missing Post Titles

Comment Moderation Screens - Missing Post Titles

This question is not answered

We are having an issue with Telligent Community 6 where the blog comment moderation screen in the control panel does not display the post title the comment is associated with. This is making it very hard for us to moderate and respond to comments.

Is this a known bug, or is there some dependency or setting anyone is aware of that we might be missing?

  • When you view a list of blog posts in the control panel you can click on the link under the Comments column to view a list of comments specifically for that parent post.  This is a way to filter comments to a specific parent blog post.

  • We can do this, but it makes no sense for moderation. Especially if we get new comments on older posts.

5 and 5.5 both listed the blog post title with the comments in the comment moderation screen, so why doesn't 6 have this?

  • I will file a bug for this.  I believe 5.5 was setting the title on the comment to the title of the blog post.  There is a Title property on a comment that could be exposed in the create comment widget to do this, where you would set the current blog posts title to the comments title.  Either way, I agree that this should be fixed, and will make sure it is.

  • Hi Wyatt,

Has there been any progress on this issue? We've recently upgraded a client from CS 2008.5 to Telligent Community 6 and not having the blog post titles/comment subjects available and linked (when they were previously) makes it difficult to associate a comment with its post in order to appropriately moderate it.

  • We're also not seeing the title on the forum moderation page in version 6.0. Is this issue still an open bug?
