Safari browse button

Safari browse button

This question is answered

Hi,

Sorry, not sure if this is the right place to ask this. When using Safari to update avatar, it doesn't show any browse button for me to pick one from my computer.

Any guidance on why this may be please?

Thanks

  • Thanks for the extra information. When using Safari for Windows (instead of the Mac version) I can also reproduce this issue with Community 6.012. It appears to be related to a third party upload component which also has an incompatibility with Safari/Windows.

The issue is corrected in the most-recent hotfix version of 6.0 when using Safari for Windows.

I also have not been able to reproduce the issue yet with with Safari for Mac, even with 6.012.

I recommend requesting a 6.0 hotfix update from support.

  • Any idea?

  • Hi. What version of Community is this? Also, do you have Flash installed? If so, do you have any plugins enabled in Safari that might be blocking Flash?

  • Hi Michael, thanks.

    It's version 6.012..

I've got flash installed and no reason why flash would be disabled.

[Even trying to add an avatar on this very telligent website (from where the above screenshot is) doesn't give me the browse button]

  • What version of Safari are you using? I'm also using Safari (6.0.2) and not able to recreate this issue on the Telligent site. Just as a test, if you visit the homepage and click on any of the customer videos do they pop up and play?

  • Version of Safari is actually 5.1.7. Sorry, I forgot to mentioned - this is Safari on Windows.

    The videos work fine.
