Repetitive posts in the activity stream

Just as a suggestion, if someone updates their photo in their profile multiple times in a day/hour, each update should not show up in the activity stream. You often have users updating one photo and then deciding on another or changing the dimensions etc.

After installing Telligent Community 7.1.0.29784 and following the entire installation guide, I have got the following issue.

The requested page is not a part of the current theme

It is happening when I try to open the community site. I have also applied fixed version (TelligentCommunity-diff-7.1.3.31259), but still have an issue.

Is there any suggestion or fix?

Option of MyContent is not coming in the Dashboard drop down.

I have setup the Telligent Community server (Trial Edition , 5.6) and I am not getting the option of MyContent for managing different CMS. Please help me to get that link or is this option not available in Trial Edition.

Are my blog post comments posting to the wrong table?

I'm using Telligent 7.1.5.32650 and have noticed that my REST call to create a comment is adding the comment record to the te_Comment_Comments table as opposed to the te_Blog_PostComment table... Can you tell me why this is? There are no records being created in the te_Blog_PostComment table at all. The following REST call is the call i'm making to create the comments... Once again, can you tell me why these are getting posted to te_Comment_Comments?

Hi,

I am reviewing instructions on what to provide my developers who will be working on custom changes to our Telligent Community on 7.1.4. I am having a hard time finding what they will need to install in order to have the environment setup locally on their desktop. Can you please point me to which installations they will need?

Is there a way to have a calendar NOT feed to it's parent groups?

I'd like to try and have an independent calendar from the rest of my groups and more specifically the parent's group. If so can someone give me some direction on where I'd do that.

What is the difference between 7.5 suite and 7.5 hotfix

If I use the telligent.evolution.securitymodules dll from the hotfix, it does not strip the domain name from the windows account. The stripDomainName="true" is set properly in the config file. However, it works ok if I copy from the original suite.

I get "Loading..." message on the Upload File window. The upload textbox or the Browse button does not appear. Tried changing compatibility mode as well.

Getting error in Sitecore Social Starter Kit after Installing Telligent Connect

I have successfully installed the Telligent Community site and also the Sitecore (plain vanilla) site, However it does not allows me to select widget in the sitecore in the placeholder after I have added the component of 'Telligent Evolution'. I am following the steps provided at [Telligent.com here][1] and it does not show 'Add the Telligent Community widget to Sitecore and configure it' section's step 5. There is no problem upto step 4.

I have these installed as of now

1. TelligentCommunity-7.0.0.28679

2. TelligentCommunity-OctoberHotfix-7.0.1.29118

3. TelligentConnectForSitecore-2.6.42.29517

4. Sitecore.NET 6.6.0 (rev. 130214)

PS: Even attaching to IIS worker process does not show/hit any runtime errors, I'm not sure.. but I guess it is due reason being that Telligent Connect package (part of Sitecore Social Starter Kit for Telligent) is implemented/loaded as plugin.

Let me know if further details as required to get the resolution to this. Please help me.

We are trying to change the content of a "group_useradded" email depending on the role of the user in the group. Sadly, we have noticed that the data containing the information doesn't exist until after the email has been sent (You can't get it from InternalAPI, RestAPI or even from cs_groupMembers table itself).

Is there any way of deferring the email so it fires after the data has been updated? Is there any alternative way to get the role for a given user in a group at this point?

Wiki article comment notification

In Community 5.5, is there a way to get notification when comments are made to a wiki article? I know you can get notification when edits are made to the wiki article, but I cannot seem to find a way to get similar notification when a comment is made to the wiki article.

Different roles - create and publish a post

Hello.

We need to grant users independent permissions to create and publish a post. Since I couldn't find specific roles in Telligent (Blog_CreatePost will allow user to create and publish it), I would like to know if it's possible to do that - allowing one user to create a post but restricting him from publishing it. Then a second user, with publishing permissions would review it and post it if approved.

Wiki edit page widget was unable to read current wiki page's content

As titled, with the same context, Wikis - page widget could read the wiki content, but Wikis - edit page widget could not. Anyone please help?

The control is working fine in all browsers except IE 7, in IE 7 when you do .val() the string that is returned is badly formated.

Redirect to profile page upon login

Experimenting with SSO which works fine using SiteUrls_override.config and setting allowAutoUserRegistration="true".

This means I can test creating a new user and checking to see if by being a new user they are redirected to their profile page - in other words, prompt them to fill in some personal info, bio, location etc. etc.

So I dropped in a custom ASCX widget to the footer of the default home page to do a response.redirect shoudl certain criteria be met.

Whilst the redirect URL is correct e.g. www.sitename.com/.../default.aspx, it does not redirect but throws up too many redirect errors.

If I change response.redirect to a link e.g. soem HTML href tag instead, the new user is auto-registered and auto-logged into the home page, I click the link and the profile page is displayed.

I'm suspecting there's some additional authorization taking place after the SSO cookie is made that requires these registered users to hit the home page prior to anything else?

I have a client querying the ability for new auto-registered users to be directed to the profile page upon first login?

Anyone have any knowledge of doing this or advice, all I can find are references to redirecting anonymous users only.
