Web service permissions and impersonate user permissions

Web service permissions and impersonate user permissions

This question is answered

Hello,

We are using Telligent Community 6.1. We need to create a service account with access web service permissions and impersonate user permissions so that the API key generated by this user can be used to make web service call as recommended here: telligent.com/.../how-to-authenticate-through-platform-apis.aspx. However we cannot figure out where and how to set these permissions? We have been all over the admin pages with no success. Any help here would be greatly appreciated.

Regards,

Jean

  • In 6.1 you should not need web service permission any longer.  However if you need to add Impersonate permissions it would be Control Panel->Membership Administration

From there you can modify an existing role or create a new one with the proper permission and assign your service account to that role.
