Subscribe to Blog and Forum - Receive Forum Emails, but no Blog Emails

I have subscribed to all forums and blogs on the site. I get an email update on any new forum post (showing that email is working in general), but I do not get any emails for new blog posts. I have verified that email is turned on for the blog, and for my user profile as well. The same happens to all other users on the site.

How can I get email working for blog list subscriptions?

  • Do you have any errors in your log?  Have you verified in Blog Administration->Default Settings that subscriptions are enabled globally and not just for individual blogs?

  • there're no "Email send to user" log with this,  and the default setting is open.

  • What about general errors?  Including unhandled exceptions?
