Group owners as well as administrators have the right to delete groups, and do not need to first delete applications from it in order to do so. Note that if this is undesired for your site, an administrator needs to remove that permission for the owners.

Navigate to Control Panel > System Administration > Group Administration > Groups. The list of groups displays.
- Click Delete.
- Click OK in the confirmation dialog box.
