Description

Purpose

Lists the wikis, their groups, their posts, and their latest posts so that you can select which one to read. Note that this widget may appear with a search box. This is a configurable option.

Limitation

This widget requires search to be installed in order to work.

Where it works

This widget works on the group home page, wiki home page, or wiki post pages.

Configuration

Enable the widget

  1. Navigate to Control Panel Dashboard > System Administration > Site Administration > Widget Studio > Enable/Disable widgets.
  2. If it is not already in Allowed widgets, move the widget from the Not Allowed widgets column to the Allowed widgets column.

Place and configure the widget

  1. In Edit Page mode, select and place the Wikis - Browse Wikis widget.
  2. Click Configure on the widget menu bar. The configuration dialog appears.

  3. You can configure the following options:

    Specify the widget properties in the Options tab:
    • Widget Title - A new name for the widget.
    • Show Wiki Name check box - Specify whether or not to list the wiki titles.
    • Show Wiki Group Name check box - Specify whether or not to list the wiki groups.
    • Show post count check box - Specify whether or not to list the post titles.
    • Show last update check box - Specify whether or not to list the latest post in the wiki.
    • Show data from Group and all Subgroups - Specify whether to show subgroup posts.
    • Number of results to display - The number of wiki items to show in the window.
    • Include current group's name in Title (Title must be a formatted string with a {0} placeholder check box - whether to display the name of the current group.
    • Include search box (when more than 3 results) check box - Whether to show a search field for the wikis.
  4. Click Save to exit the configuration dialog.
  5. Click Save page.
