In Telligent Community 6.0, Factor values have been divided into Quality factors and Participation.

You enable the Member Points System (MPS) for your site and control how member points are earned. You also control who can see user points on the site.

To configure MPS:

  1. Navigate to Control Panel Dashboard > System Administration > Site Administration > Site Configuration > Manage Member Points System. The General page displays.

      

  2. Specify the following settings: 

    1. On the General tab, enable the Member Points System.

    2. Set the point-collecting activities on the Factor Values page. Some defaults are set to 0, which means that the activity will not be awarded points.  

      1. Quality Factors:

        1. Verified Answer Factor - Number of points awarded to a post for being verified as an answer. Default: 20
        2. Rating Factor - Number of points awarded to a post for each rating star received. Default: 6
        3. Favorite Post Factor - Number of points awarded to a post each time it is added as a favorite post. Default: 0

      2. Participation:

        1. Rater Factor - Number of points awarded to a member for each star he/she gives to a post. Default: 1

        2. Post Factor - Number of points awarded to each post.Default: 5

        3. Reply Factor - Number of points awarded to a post for each direct reply. Default:15

        4. Replier Factor - Number of points awarded to a post for each direct reply by a different user. Default: 0

        5. Download Factor - Number of points awarded to a post each time it is downloaded. Default: 0

        6. Downloader Factor - Number of points awarded to a post each time it is downloaded by a different user. Default: 5

        7. Favorite User (Friend) Factor - Number of points awarded to a member each time he/she is friended or followed. Default: 100

        8. Wiki Comments - Number of points a user receives for adding a comment to a wiki article. Default: 5

        9. Wiki Edits - Number of points a user receives for editing a page in the wiki. Default: 20

        10. New Page - Number of points a user receives for publishing a new page to the wiki. Default: 40
  3. Click Save to apply the settings.
