The Post Settings tab allows you to specify site-wide settings for your site's forum posts, such as enabling or disabling post censorship, emoticons, and forum ratings. Note: You can modify the settings for individual forums.
To enable various post settings:
-
Navigate to Control Panel Dashboard > System Administration > Site Administration > Site Configuration > Advanced Configuration > Post Settings.

-
Set the Post Settings page properties:
-
Enable Post Censorship - If enabled, posts will filter out offensive words based on the word replacement filter settings.
-
Allow Emoticons - If enabled, allows users to add emoticons in forum posts.
-
Enable Featured Content - If enabled, enables the Featured content check box when the user creates a post (which in turn builds content for the Featured Content widget). Featuring content feature allows you to draw your users' attention to specific content by giving it prominent placement on your Web pages.
-
Forum Rating Type - Select the context for users to rate forum content: thread-level or post-level.
-
Number of Top Posters - Number of top users to display in the site statistics. The rankings are dependent upon the number of posts published by each user. The range is 1-100.
