You can manage comments made by community members on blog posts within a blog, including reviewing unapproved comments, deleting and/or editing existing comments.
To manage blog comments:
-
Click the name of the blog in the Blog list.

-
Click Edit blog settings in the Options panel.

-
Click Manage > Comments.

The window contains the following information:
-
Title of blog post - Name of the post with a link to the creator.
-
Comment excerpt - The first few words of the post.
-
Comment author - Click the user name to view the author's profile.
-
Date the comment was made.
-
Type - Whether the content is a comment or post.
-
Published - Indicates the status of the comment. A green check mark indicates the item is published and visible to users. A red strike-through indicates the item is not published and requires moderation.
- Option buttons.
By default, all of the comments made to all blog posts for the blog are displayed in the comments list. The comment list displays the following information:
-
To publish a single comment that has not yet been published, click Publish next to that comment. To publish many comments at one time, select the check box next to each unpublished comment you want to publish (or to select all comments in the list, select the check box in the gray heading box) and click Publish Selected.
-
To edit a comment, click Edit next to that comment. The Comment Editor dialog windows displays.
-
Title - Do not change. Changing the title only affects the way it is displayed within the Control Panel and in RSS feeds, not how it is displayed on the community site.
-
Comment - Use caution when changing the content of a comment made by someone else.
-
By - You cannot change who made the comment.
-
URL - Do not change. Changing this value does nothing for the comment on the site.
-
Published - If the check box is selected, the comment is visible on the blog post page. If the box is deselected, the comment is only visible in the comments list in the Control Panel.
-
Make your changes in the dialog window and click Save.
-
To delete a comment, click Delete next to that comment. Click OK in the confirmation message. The comment list is refreshed and the deleted comment is no longer displayed in the Control Panel list of comments or in the blog post itself.
-
To delete many comments at one time, select the check box next to each comment you want to delete (or to select all comments in the list, select the check box in the gray heading box) and click Delete Selected. Click OK in the confirmation message. The comment list is refreshed and the deleted comment is no longer displayed.
