Access the media gallery presentation page to set the View Type default for your gallery files. The Thumbnail view option displays thumbnail views of each file, while the list view lists the file names.
The Enable View Type Override option must be enabled for the View Type property to be enabled on the Presentation page. The gallery files will display in the format specified by the view typey.
For the effects of changing the view type setting, the most recent setting between the Settings page and the Presentation page will take effect. For example, if you set the type to Thumbnail view on the Settings page and the Presentation page was previously set to List view, the files will display as thumbnails. If you set the type to List view on the Presentation page and the Settings page was previously set to Thumbnail view, the files will display in the list format.
To set presentation properties:

Navigate to Control Panel Dashboard > Manage My Media Galleries > [gallery name] > Settings > Presentation.

Set the presentation properties.

Click Save to apply the settings.
