You can create custom navigation to any group application, content page, or custom URL using the Group - Application widget, Navigation - Custom widget, or Navigation - Groups widget. These widgets live in the editable header.

Group - Application Navigation widget

This widget provides navigation tabs to let community members. You can customize the tabs to display the following navigation items:

  • Content page
  • Custom URL
  • Group blog(s)
  • Group forum(s)
  • Group media gallery/galleries
  • Group members
  • Group mentions
  • Group tags
  • Group wiki(s)
  • Single blog
  • Single forum
  • Single group
  • Single media gallery
  • Single wiki

To configure the widget's tabs, see Configure the Group - Application Navigation widget. You can't nest these tabs.

This widget provides easy navigation customization. You can use it to create navigation buttons for many items, including:

You can nest these items up to three deep. For example, the following Navigation - Custom widget configuration:

In addition to page layout and widget customization, this feature allows you to set the prominence of navigation topics or groups for three levels of headings (initial page; mouse-over second-level headings, and mouse-over third-level headings).

The traditional page navigation that was governed in the Control Panel Site Theme tab for previous releases lives in this widget. You can select the following kinds of navigation from the drop-down in the widget:

  • Single-bar static with drop-down
  • Dual-bar drill-down
  • Single-bar drill-down
