The media gallery Quotas page is accessible through the media gallery editing functionality. The Quotas page settings control media gallery file storage. The quota properties allow you to specify the number of files that are allowed in the gallery and the amount of storage space allotted to the gallery.

To set media gallery quotas:

  1. Navigate to Control Panel Dashboard > Media Gallery Administration > Galleries and Groups > Media Galleries > [gallery name] > Edit > Quotas.

  2. Set the media gallery quota properties. You should note the maximum number of files and storage space allotted to the media galleries across your site to ensure all the quotas for individual galleries are evenly balanced.

    1. File Count Quota - Number of files the media gallery can contain. You should note number of files specified in the media gallery quota global settings to ensure you do not set so high a maximum for a media gallery that you will not have enough for other galleries. 0 indicates an unlimited number of files.

    2. Total Storage Quota (megabytes) - Maximum size in megabytes allotted to each media gallery for file storage. 0 indicates unlimited storage.

  3. Click Save to apply the settings.

  • Settings - Specify the basic gallery properties, such as the name and description, and the list of owners, which are the users you will allow to upload, edit, and remove content from the gallery.
  • Options - Specify file properties. Enable links to external files and download disclaimer, and specify types of files that can be downloaded.
  • Permissions - Assign media gallery permissions to user roles.
