You can add post attachments for blog posts, forums, and specific media galleries. You cannot add post attachments to a wiki.

Determine allowed attachment file extensions for blogs

  1. Navigate to Control Panel Dashboard > System Administration > Blog Administration > Configuration > File Storage Settings.
  2. To determine what extensions are allowed, view the Allowed File Extensions field.
  3. To add an extension, type it in the Allowed File Extensions comma-delimited list. It must be a supported format for Telligent Community.

  4. Click Save.

Determine allowed attachment file extensions for forums

  1. Navigate to Control Panel Dashboard > System Administration > Forum Administration > Configuration > Global Forum Settings > Attachments.
  2. To determine what extensions are allowed, view the Allowed File Extension Types field.
  3. To add an extension, type it In the Allowed File Extension Types comma-delimited list. It must be a supported format for Telligent Community.

  4. Click Save.
  1. Navigate to Control Panel Dashboard > System Administration > Media Gallery Administration > Media Galleries > [select a media gallery].
  2. Click Edit.
  3. Click Options.

  4. If you type an entry into Allowed File Extensions, only files of that type will be allowed. (It must be a supported format for Telligent Community.) By default, any type of supported file can be uploaded.
  5. If you type an entry into Restricted File Extensions, that type of file will be restricted from the media gallery. By default, no type of file is restricted.
  6. Click Save.
