You can sort files listed in the media gallery by several options, as long as those options are available (due to the Media Gallery - File List widget view being set to Detailed List).
You can customize the list by view type and sorting criteria.
View type
There are two options available - thumbnail view and detail view. The views have differing amounts of detail.
Thumbnail view
Thumbnail view includes small views of each file. The list can be items listed in the table below.
Detail view
Detail view includes file titles, small thumbnails, dates, number of comments, and number of likes. It is sortable by the items listed in the next table.
Sorting options
The following sort options are available from the arrow drop-down list on the right side.
