Telligent Community provides you with three ways to upload a media file:
- The Quick Post widget "Leave a message" tab.
- The Quick Post widget "Share a file" tab.
- The New Post button - On a group Home Page, media gallery Home Page, or media gallery post page.
If you create a new post at the site root (http://<yoursite>/m/default.aspx), the New Post button drop-down list will be scoped to up to 20 first-listed alphabetical names of any media gallery in the entire site where you have permission to post.
Upload a file with Quick Post
Use the "Leave a message" tab to upload
When you upload a file on this tab, it is not added to the file list on your profile or to a media gallery.

- Click Browse. A browse window opens for your computer.
- Navigate to the desired file and click Open. The file appears under your status message entry.

- Hit Enter on the keyboard. If you want to find the attached file later, it is located in the "status messages" folder visible on your profile > Files tab.

When you upload a file on this tab, it is added to the file list on your profile and to the media gallery you specified for the post.
