The sticky feature allows you to make a thread display at the top of forum thread list for the specified period of time.
- If another thread is created on the post during this time, it will displayed under this post.
- If this second (other) thread is also made sticky, the thread that was made sticky first will be displayed first, and so on.
- Making one post sticky for a longer period than another post does not give a post precedence. For example, making one post sticky for three days does not bump it above a post that is only marked for stickiness one day. Only when the prior sticky thread expires will the next post appear at the top of the forum.
- If you edit a sticky post, this moves it down in the post list.
In order to make your post sticky, you need to have the Forum - Make posts sticky permission.
- In the Forum - Thread List widget on the forum Home Page, either create a new thread or click an existing post.
- If you want to edit an existing post, mouse over the post title on the post page. A drop-down list appears in the upper-right corner.
- Click Edit post.
- Click the Options tab.

- On the Stickiness drop-down list, select the period to make the post sticky -

- Click Post. The post will be moved to the top of the Forum - Post List on the Home Page in the order it is designated in the queue.
