You can insert a media file into a blog or forum post using the Insert media button. Telligent Community allows you to insert a media file by uploading it from a local hard drive or a Web site folder, or by linking to a remote URL. The supported media file types are specified on the User Files page.

Insert a media file for any content (wiki, blog post, or forum post)

  1. In the enhanced text editor, click the film (Insert Media) button. The insert/edit media dialog box appears.

  2. In the From drop-down list, select the source location of the media.
  3. Refer to and follow the appropriate following section for specific instructions by media location.

Inserting a file from a URL (such as YouTube)

  1. In the URL field, paste the URL to the media. Note: This is not the embed code. The video preview should appear.
  2. If desired, resize the file with the Max width and Max height settings. Telligent Community recognizes the size of most videos.
  3. Click Insert.

    Notes:
Using this setting will not cause the content to be uploaded or in any way transferred to your Telligent Community site. This option will simply link the media file to your post.
Some media types, such as video, are capable of streaming directly from your post, so it may appear as if it is on your site. Other media types are simply linked.
