Telligent 6/7 User Avatar REST Endpoints

are URLs of type community.mysite.com/.../& supposed to work in Telligent 7.x?

We are getting HTTP 404 error. I know there are new user avatar REST endpoints in Telligent 7 (telligent.com/.../29733.user-avatar-rest-endpoints.aspx), but shouldn't the old ones work as well?

Creating a Widget - extensions and velocity way

I'm looking for some good documentation on how to create a widget the "new" way with velocity and extensions. I have an external database I need to query and display in data in a widget.

Please help. I've been searching the documentation for hours and can't find a simple document that explains how to do this.

Search Analytics - most common search queries

"Object reference not set to an instance of an object" error on my user profile

I got the strangest thing going on.

the Object reference not set to an instance of an object error only occures on my profile. Users are not able to view my profile. Any other user profile is available.

I checked the database entry in the Table users and users_profile. And there is nothing strange to see if i compare my fields to others,

We are currently using a Wiki for our project. In order to check new articles that are being added to the Wiki, I am looking for the option to enable the option to receive an email notifications for wiki article changes as well as new articles that are being added to the wiki.

Is there such an option available that enables the e-mail notification globally for the wiki?

Telligent assemblies in unit tests

I've run into a problem that I’m hoping someone has experienced before, and has a solution to...

I’m creating unit tests which test functionality of components in an assembly.

The method I’m testing makes use of the Telligent.Evolution.Users.GetUser() which gives the error “System.InvalidOperationException: The service locator has not been initialized”.

I believe that the services have not been initialized as it is being executed from a test app as opposed to the Telligent website.

This appears to be related to the fact that the services are somehow initialized in the CommunityServer.Global Application_Start handler as called from Global.asax.

Is there a way to get the Telligent assemblies to run out of the web context? What is the recommendation for working with Telligent and unit tests?

Unable to Delete Moderated Post - Exception

I have a moderated Forum where I have posts that I want to Delete. No matter what options I select, when the action is submitted it throws the following exception. Any ideas about what is configured incorrectly would be helpful.

We are using Telligent 6.0 and have enabled the MPS. How can I view members by rank? For example, I want to know which of my Community members have made it to the Rank2 level. How can I find this information without manually looking through the entire site hovering over each member's profile?

Including Math in Wiki Articles and Other Posts

We are in the process of adding technical content to our Telligent Enterprise site, and the ability to add equations (via MathML, LaTeX, etc.) would be very useful. I have been unable to find any information regarding including mathematical equations in wiki articles and other posts. So far, the only way to do this is to export the equations to image files. But this is quite cumbersome.

Does anyone have any suggestions regarding how best to include mathematical equations?

Telligent Evolution Development Deployment Process

I may not be searching the right terms, but I can't seem to find any information on the proper way to deploy development changes from one environment to another. We have dev / qa / acceptance / production environments and we need a solid process for move layouts, widget updates, etc... from one environment to another without affecting the content (so simply copying the whole database is not an option)

The "Theme" exports do not include layouts, headers and footers, and other random things are missing. Is there a way to tag items so they are included in the Site / Groups / Blogs Export?

I'm not looking to do any sort of merge. I'm looking for a process that will overwrite all the:

1) all the widgets and resources

2) all the page layouts and configuration

as we push from environment to environment.

Is there a guide or documentation that I perhaps missed?

Leaving a Private Group Should Unsubscribe User from Group Content

I have a case where a user in a Private Group has left the Group and is no longer a member. Yet the user is still subscribed to content (Forums and Blogs) in the private group and still receives email notifications containing the private information. This seems like a bug to me. Has this been reported?

Unable to Change User Private Email Address

We recently upgraded to Enterprise 3.1 and since the upgrade I am not able to change the PrivateEmail address on some users (something in the order of 50% of the 60-70 that I have tried to change). It is not all of the users and I haven't been able to figure out what is common between the users that could be causing the issue.

I have tried using the Control Penal | Membership Administration to make the edits. Look up the user, click Edit, go to Email and Contact Info. Then change the Private Email address and click save. That field does not change and there are no errors listed. In fact, I get the normal success message. I can change other profile attributes just fine. But not the Private Email for these specific users.

I have tried making the changes using the REST API to a sample of these same users. Same thing. There is no error reported, but the value does not change.

I have looked in both the Event log and the Exceptions log and there are no entries related to this action in either location.

Before we upgraded to 3.1 from 2.6 this worked 100% of the time. I never had a failure. I am 100% sure that the email address I am trying to set is not already in use anywhere.

Does anyone have a clue what might be causing the problem.

We are using Telligent as our cooperate collaboration platform. We are working on a POC to enhance our collaborative integration with other applications exists on our environment.

We design out our REST API workflows and wish to outsource this development ( Only development with JAVA technology target to Mobile platform).

I wander , if I can find a evaluation software to help off site vender for development . Any suggestions how we can do with limited dependency with vendor?

NOTE: As per design all process will be control by Rest API. So development team needs the rest api understanding and test platform.

Any inputs / guidance will be helpful.

Hi,the page show an error when i searched "brand resources" words(please see the attachment), after our research and found the error reason - there is a group data in result list, and this group is sub group of Administrators, so when normal permission user do search, they'll get this error, i think this is a bug of Telligent, how can i fix it?

In the process of creating a "custom application" I have found a problem with the installation of it, is that when you install and uninstall the CSS are automatically eliminated all graphic theme images that are referenced from the stylesheet.
