For Telligent Enterprise 3.0, you need to ensure that the Microsoft .Net Framework (version 4.0.x) is installed on your server. The latest version is 4.0.x, which can be upgraded using this download.

IIS6 (Windows Server 2003)

If you are running Telligent Enterprise on IIS6, you need to ensure that the ASP.NET extension is authorized in IIS:

  1. Open IIS Manager.

  2. In the left pane, expand your server and click on Web Service Extensions.
    In the right pane, ensure ASP.Net v4.0.x is allowed. If it is not allowed, click on it, and then click the Allow button in the left of that pane.

IIS7 (Windows Server 2008)

Note: ASP.Net is not supported under Server Core installs of Window Server 2008 and in that case incompatible with Telligent Enterprise.

  1. Open Server Manager, expand the Roles node, and click on Web Server (IIS).

  2. Scroll down to the Role Services section, and click Add Role Services on the right side.

  3. Under Application Development, check ASP.NET  (if you are asked to add other Required Role Services do so as they are required to install .NET).

  4. Click Next and then install.
