You can edit the site, group, and blog headers in Telligent Enterprise 3.0 without having to custom-code a theme.
The following widgets live in the header:
Additionally, the Generic Content widget, which can be used anywhere on the site, is used here.
To perform this function, you must be a site admin with the Site - Edit Theme permission.
- Sign onto the site as an admin.
- Navigate to the site home page and click Edit Page.The editable header area appears.
- Click Edit Header. The editable header opens, displaying the widgets that compose it.
- Make the edits. Let's use the example of changing the type of group navigation bar from single-bar static to dual-bar drilldown. can unlock this widget so that it can be changed, and are also unlocking the Generic Content widget that contains the site logo. (Notice that by default, each widget in the header is locked.)
- Click Save Header.
- Click Save Page.
- Assuming you want this header to be applied as the default, select Save as the new default version.
- If desired, select the Apply the new default to all users check box.
- Click OK in the confirmation dialog.
To perform this function, you must be a group admin and have the Group - Edit theme permission. The Enable Themes option in System Settings > Group Administration > Configuration > Default Group Theme must also be selected.

- Navigate to the group home page and click Edit Page.The editable header area appears.

- Make the edits you have available. From the previous procedure, let's suppose two widgets were locked at the site level. We could change an unlocked Generic Content widget which formerly contained the site logo, adding a "group" header. Note: You can't lock a widget unless you have the Site - Edit Theme permission.
- Click Save Header.
- Click Save Page.
- Select Save as the new default version if desired.
- Click Save Page.
- Click OK in the confirmation dialog.
To perform this function, you must be a group admin with the Blog - Edit theme permission. The Enable Themes option in System Settings > Blog Administration > Configuration > Default Presentation must also be selected.

- Navigate to the blog home page and click Edit Page.The editable header area appears.
- Click Edit Header. The editable header opens, displaying the widgets that compose it.
- Make the edits you have available. Let's suppose that two widgets were locked at the site level. We can change an unlocked Generic Content widget which formerly contained the site or group logo, adding a "blog" header.
- Click Save Header.
- Click Save Page.
- Select Save as the new default version if desired.
- Click Save Page.
- Click OK in the confirmation dialog.
