As groups grow and evolve, you may need to reorganize the content to make it more accessible to members of you community. You can move content to different applications within the group in a way that makes sense to users or even move it from one group to another.

To move a group:

  1. Launch the edit group functionality.

  2. Select the group you want to move and click Edit.

  3. On the Group Options page, scroll down to the Parent Group line. Start typing the group name so that Telligent Enterprise can find it. The search window displays a list of existing groups, including the Site Root option.  (This will list groups to which the user has the Create Groups permission.)

  4. Click Save. If the group you are moving contains any sub-groups and applications, they will follow the parent group which is being moved and maintain their relationship with the group.
