Description
In Telligent Enterprise 4.0, the "Items to show before scrolling" option has been removed.
Purpose
Lists the forums, their groups, their posts, and their latest posts so that you can select which one to read or respond to.
Where it works
This widget works on group and forum pages as well as forum post pages.
Theme differences
- This widget is part of the Default configuration for the platform, which means it is available for an administrator to add to any theme using the Manage Widgets tab.
- This widget is available via the Manage Widgets tab with modifications specific to the Enterprise theme.
Configuration
- Navigate to Control Panel Dashboard > System Administration > Site Administration > Widget Studio > Enable/Disable widgets.
- If it is not already in Allowed widgets, move the widget from the Not Allowed widgets column to the Allowed widgets column.
- Click Edit Page, then select and place the Forums - Browse Forums widget.
- Click Configure on the widget menu bar. The configuration dialog appears.
You can change the following options:
- Widget Title (not visible in screen capture) - Specify a new name for the widget if desired.
- Show forum name - Specify whether or not to list the forum title(s).
- Show forum group name - Specify whether or not to list the forum group(s).
- Show post count - Specify whether or not to list the number of posts.
- Show latest post date - Specify whether or not to list the latest post date in the forum.
- Show data from group and all subgroups - Specify whether or not to show subgroup forums.
- Default sort order:
- Application name
- Posts
- Last post
- Include current group's name in Title (Title must be a formatted string with a {0} placeholder) - Specify whether or not to list the group where the widget is being displayed.
- Include search box (when more than 3 results) - Specify whether or not to display a box for searching results.
- Click Save to exit the configuration dialog.
- Click Save Page.
