The built-in Telligent Enterprise file viewer allows you to embed local and remote files and URLs into your wiki pages. See Supported video and file upload formats.

Availability

The file viewer is supported almost everywhere rich text can be entered:

  • Blog posts
  • Media posts
  • Forum posts
  • Wiki pages
  • Group descriptions
  • User biographies
  • User comments
  • User announcements
  • Conversations
  • Generic Content Widget

Syntax

[View:URL]

[View:URL:WIDTH:HEIGHT]

Where

  1. URL is the URL (local or remote) of the file or Web page being embedded.

  2. WIDTH is the optional requested width, in pixels, of the rendered file.

  3. HEIGHT is the optional requested height, in pixels, of the rendered file.

The file viewer is automatically used when you use the Insert Media button from the toolbar of the enhanced text editor.

Additional files can be supported by adding custom file viewers.

    Example

    To embed a YouTube video, specify the URL of the individual video page in your viewer, for example:

    [View:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QuPwwGEeSLo&NR=1]

    When the post is saved, this renders as an embedded video.
