In Telligent Enterprise 4.0, Telligent has created an Abuse social service that promotes social engagement and community participation while improving the quality of content. The service contains a number of developer-ready APIs that enable the abuse service for third-party applications and tracking abuse activities. The spam service from previous releases has been converted to a spam plugin and metrics. The abuse service encourages social engagement by letting users promote the quality of their community content.
Comment service
The Comment social service in Telligent Enterprise 4.0 has been modularized internally and externally for this release so that you can post application comments; comment on other comments, comment on status message replies on your community, and on external content. The tool encourages social engagement by allowing users to interact with comments,#hashtags, @mentions, and likes.
Like service
Likes promote content quality and ranking. The like service enables social engagement with content both in and out your community. It contributes to reputation information by enabling members to like any piece of content, thus increasing the author's standing in the community. Mention service
Refer to any user wherever you are by typing @ and then selecting him or her from a list of users. View that user's profile by hovering over the @mention. Get notified each time someone writes a message to you directly on your wall or @mentions you. Rating service
The rating service, including scaled ratings (for example, stars), replace previous releases' rating functionality for existing content and adds support for third-party ratings as well as future and custom applications. Rating encourages social engagement by promoting interaction with content and other users. The rating service encourages content quality and contributes to user reputation.
Scoring service
This service supports scores that reputation features depend on, such as content quality and author quality, as well as profile completeness. Tag service
The tag service is built deeply into the user experience in a way that people are used to with #hashtags and content tagging that help drive topic-based reputation for content quality and good citizenship.
