Default metrics used in each score. Unless noted otherwise, the basic default weight is "Normal" (middle value). You can add other metrics to each score. This table doesn't reflect weights you change.

Site-level scores and metrics

The following metrics are used by default in the listed scores at the site level. You can add any metric to any score and weight it as you choose. However, bear in mind that when you add or remove a metric from a score, they are inherited throughout the entire site. Metrics and their weights cannot be overridden at the group or application (blog, forum, gallery, or wiki) level.

Abuse Creator Effectiveness metric
This metric determines how effective of a content creator a user is. It is derived from content that has been found abusive, overturned and/or confirmed. A lower abuse creator effectiveness weight means that a user’s behavior of creating abusive content weighs low towards their Abuse Creator score.
X
Abuse Reporter Effectiveness metric
This metric measures a user’s effectiveness when flagging content once they have been flagging content. It determines how strong of a flagger should abuse reporters be in future flags. A higher weight for abuse reporter effectiveness should be applied in an established community where users have had a chance to create new content and content is more likely to have been flagged.
X
Aggregate Abuse Reporter metric
This metric adds up all the Abuse Reporter scores and adds to the content’s abusive score. A higher weight would mean that flags by multiple users would be stronger than the user’s score who created the content. In other words, do you trust the abuse reporters or the content creators?
X
Average Content Quality metric
This metric is an average of the author’s Content Quality score.
X
Average Group Content Quality metric
This metric is an average of the author’s Content Quality score produced in a group.
X

Baseline Abuse Creator metric
Gives an author a baseline of either their Author Quality or a minimum value, whichever is greater. A lower weight to this metric means that a user’s Author Quality score isn’t as important as their Abuse Creator Effectiveness and that content could be marked as spam easier.

X
Baseline Abuse Reporter metric
This metric is like a seed score - it determines how much power a user’s flag has if they have never flagged anything. A higher baseline weight should be applied in a new community where users are all new and somewhat equal.
X
Bookmarks metric
As community participants bookmark or remove bookmarks on content, the score is affected according to value and weight of this metric.
X
Comments metric
As community participants comment on content, the score is affected according to value and weight of this metric. Note: Forum replies are not counted as comments.
X
Downloads metric
As community participants download files from media galleries, the score is affected according to value and weight of this metric.
X

When content is featured or removed from featured, the score is affected according to value and weight of this metric.

X

X

As community participants like content, the score is affected according to the value and weight of this metric.
X

As community participants rate content, the score is affected according to value and weight of this metric.
X

For Q&A forum threads, when a reply is marked as a suggested answer or it is demoted to just a reply, the score is affected according to value and weight of this metric.
X
Tags metric
As tags are added to or removed from content, the score is affected according to value and weight of this metric.
X
User Subscription metric

X
