New in Telligent Evolution 5.6: HTML tags in names and descriptions has been disabled because of formatting issues.

The Title & Description page allows you to name your blog title and enter a public description that is viewable by readers and discoverable by search engines. This page enables the news flash feature, which displays news on all of the blog's pages.

To set the title and description properties:

  1. Click the name of the blog in the Blog list.

  2. Click Edit blog settings in the Options panel.

  3. Navigate to Configure > Blog Setup > Title & Description.

  4. Set the Title & Description page properties:

    • Your blog's title - Title of the blog. This property is inherited from the Create New Blog page and can be modified.

    • Your blog's description - Describes the blog. When you customize your blog home page, you can add the blog banner widget so the description displays as part of the blog banner as shown below.

    • News Flash - Static content that displays on all pages within your blog. You would normally use the news flash feature to communicate special information you want to share with all of your readers, who will see it anywhere on your site. When you customize your blog home page, you can add the blog news widget shown  below.

  5. Click Save to apply the settings.

Note: You can navigate between the Blog Setup pages (Email, About, and Search Engine Optimization) without clicking Save and still retain your modified settings. However, make sure you click Save before you leave any of these pages or you will lose your modifications.
