This page applies to Telligent Evolution 5.1. Telligent Evolution 5.5 and 5.6 utilize a New Post button.
The wiki table of contents feature allows you to create a wiki with parent and child pages so you can organize your wiki content.
If you do not have pre-existing pages in your wiki
When you create a wiki, Evolution displays a wiki Pages list in the right sidebar.

As you add pages to your wiki, the page titles display in the list of pages in the central panel of the page and in the Pages list in the right sidebar.

You can continue to add pages at the parent level or add child pages to the parent.

The table of contents feature allows you to create as many levels of parent-child pages as you need.
-
Open your wiki forums page.
-
To add your first-level page, click Add Page.
-
After composing the content, click Save. The title of your new post displays in the central panel of the wiki and in the Pages list in the right sidebar.

-
To add a child page, open the parent page by clicking on the title in either the central panel or from the Pages list.

-
Click Add Page.
-
After composing the content for this page, click Save. The title of your new post displays at the top of the list in the central panel of the wiki and as a child page in the Pages list. You can continue adding pages as necessary for as many levels as you need.
Note: If you have pre-existing pages in your wiki, the only way to manipulate their order in the TOC is by changing either the parent page or changing the wiki page name. By default, sub-ordering is alphabetical.
Example: No matter where this page is moved within its "Wikis" parent page hierarchy, it will be listed in alphabetical order under this parent page in the TOC.
If this page is moved so that it no longer has a parent page, It becomes listed in alphabetical order with the guides located at the top level of this wiki.
If you want to create a table of contents using existing wiki documents
If you wanted to make this page (starting with c) follow a page starting with a later letter (such as "Edit a wiki"), You would have to change one or both of the names so that the names rearrange alphabetically. Or you could also impose an alphabetical or numeral order on pages by pre-pending their names with A-, B-, C-, or 1-, 2-, or 3. Telligent Evolution's wiki will work only with periods (which are called "dot" in URLS), hyphens (called "dash" in URLs), and ampersands (&, called "amp" in URLs).
